Update packages and Distribution
- Refresh local package lists to check for the newest software versions:
sudo apt update
- Upgrade existing packages on your system:
sudo apt upgrade -y
- Perform a distribution upgrade to handle changing dependencies and install any remaining held or phased updates:
sudo apt dist-upgrade -y
- Reboot your system if required (check if /run/reboot-required exists):
